The Becker’s Buying Team recently traveled to Las Vegas for the renowned JCK Las Vegas jewelry show, where top fashion and bridal jewelry designers gather each year to showcase their incredible collections of best-sellers and new creations.
Tons of new pieces will be arriving at Becker’s over the next few months—in the meantime, here are 3 trends you’ll be seeing!
1. Colored Gems
We all need a bit more color in our lives! Precious gems (ruby, sapphire, emerald) and semi-precious gems (amethyst, peridot, topaz and so on) are the perfect way to add excitement to any outfit. Whether you rock your birthstone or favorite color, there is a truly a gemstone for everyone’s style.
Pantone’s Color of the Year, Ultra Violet, is predicted to be the most popular inspiration for gemstone jewelry. Purple gems such as tanzanite and amethyst are a great way to stay on trend!

For a truly unique color pop, try a treated blue diamond. Natural blue diamonds are incredibly rare and expensive, but with this treated diamond, you get striking color at an affordable price point!

2. Stacks & Layers
Stacks and layered looks really started in 2017, but they are gaining more momentum and becoming absolute “must-haves” for 2018 and beyond. Stack your rings for a fun, unique look, whether you stack bands on their own, or wear them with your engagement ring.

Don’t be afraid to stack your bracelets, too! VAHAN sterling silver/yellow gold bangles with diamonds look fabulous alone and even better stacked up:

Necklaces look amazing layered as well! Two to three necklaces are ideal. Space them 1-2” apart to avoid tangling:

3. Baguette Diamonds for Bridal & Fashion
Baguettes are similar to emerald cut diamonds, but they are smaller and feature fewer facets. The “step-cut” linear facets reflect light and give you a different look compared to brilliant cut diamonds, such as round, princess, and oval.
Straight and tapered baguettes make excellent accent stones in three-stone engagement rings as they complement all center stone shapes. They’re stunning in wedding bands and fashion jewelry, too!
